The work we do together is guided by your values, and goals.
I work collaboratively with you...
... meeting you where you are in your journey.
Change is not a one time event... it is a process of recognizing what works in our life and what we want and can change.
I utilize and integrate multiple therapies and tools, customized to your own goals and style so our work is effective and helpful to your life.
Some of the main approaches I use are: Motivational interviewing, Mindfulness, Humanistic and Existential therapies, Relational therapy, Reality therapy, EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Gottman, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), OCSB (Out of control sexual behavior), and more.
I specialize in working with people and families who struggle with the consequences of substance use, and life-long traumas. These can show as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship challenges, addictions, and adjustment to life changes and more. The therapeutic work I do integrates various evidence based practices. We meet where you are at in your journey, and work collaboratively towards your goals. Together, we will explore what works, try tools and skills to evaluate what is effective for you.
We get hurt in relationships, relationships are were we can heal too. The impact of life-challenges on relationships bring us back to a sense of threat. we fall back to old patterns of behaviors that are not how we want to be in the world. At times, we are at our worst with the people we love most. The cost to our connection can be high. Finding ways to get back to feeling connected and passionate is the work we can do together.
